Gilchrist Farm

A real working farm in Bouquet Canyon, twenty minutes from the Santa Clarita studios and inside the 30-Mile Studio Zone. This is the Americana backlot productions usually have to build: a barn breezeway with horses in silhouette, full stables and tack room, a riding arena, a western mining camp with water tower and sluice, golden-hour hay fields and hillside wides that read pure western.

The animal cast lives here: horses, ponies, cows, goats, pigs, rabbits and peacocks, all handled by the farm's own staff. The prop fleet does too: vintage red Farmall tractors, a working fire engine, a tractor-drawn wagon and a three-car barrel train, with more vintage vehicles on site.

The built sets keep going: a theatrical-style stage with hay-bale seating, an archery and axe-throwing range, a giant slide, a straw-bale maze, a BBQ area, and seasonal looks on rotation, a full pumpkin patch every Halloween season and a Christmas tree lot every December. The holiday-campaign calendar is built into the property.

The farm divides into named sectors, Arena & Stables, Homestead, Farmyard & Zoo, Mining Camp & Range, and the Fields, each with its own power and access. Book one sector while the farm hums along around you, stack two, or buy the whole property out. Power is distributed where you need it: 100-amp primary with 60-amp panels at the barn, mining camp, petting zoo, and shop. Gigabit internet on site.

And the rarest thing in location work: parking lots that hold several hundred vehicles with truck overflow. Production, works, and basecamp park on site, never on the street.

Productions use it for westerns and period work, holiday campaigns, commercials and branded content, music videos, family and kids' TV, and editorial stills. Up to 200 cast and crew hosted with existing infrastructure.
